Richelle Flanagan
Richelle is a CORU state registered dietitian who has been practicing Dietitian for 18 years. She was president and CEO of the of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute (INDI), the professional body for Dietitians in Ireland. She noticed her own Parkinson’s Disease (PD) symptoms when she was 3 months pregnant with the daughter. She hid her diagnosis for 2 years for fear of the stigma both socially and career wise. After attending the World Parkinson Congress in 2019 she was inspired by other people with Young Onset PD to speak out to drive change in treatment, care, and research for people with PD. She has since become an ambassador for the World Parkinson Congress in Barcelona, 2023 and a committee member of the Dublin branch of the Parkinson’s Association of Ireland. She is particularly passionate about the unmet needs of women with PD. Richelle is the co-founder and cEO of a start-up, My Moves Matter www.mymovesmatter.com, a digital health app to the meet the specific needs of women living with PD.
Kat Hill
Kat was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease after delivering over 800 babies in her career as a Nurse Practitioner and Midwife. After ending her practice, she has learned to build a life based on the principles of gratitude and joy, not only for peace of mind but also as a fundamental building block in how to live life. She has spoken around the world on behalf of the World Parkinson Congress and is an ambassador for the Davis Phinney Foundation. Sree first noticed motor systems when her left arm stopped moving during an evening walk. She was quickly diagnosed thereafter with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease. After attending the 2019 World Parkinson Congress she became committed to Parkinson’s Disease advocacy, particularly the voices of women with PD. Sree is a photographer, writer and FT photojournalist based in California who writes of her experiences at https://www.studiosree.com. Sree is an Ambassador for the Davis Phinney Foundation, and a coordinator for the 2023 World Parkinson Congress Buddies Program.
